The International Mine Ventilation Congress (IMVC) is pleased to announce the inaugural Block
Cave, Sublevel Caving (SLC), Stope and coal Ventilation Consortium, a closed‑door, one‑day
technical forum dedicated to mining operators. This Consortium will bring together operators to
collaboratively discuss and critically examine lessons learned from field implementation in a
professional setting. The forum is specifically structured to foster an open and trusted
environment that encourages candid peer‑to‑peer knowledge exchange, with discussions strictly
limited to technical and operational experience and excluding any commercial or promotional
content.
Key discussion topics will include dust and diesel particulate matter (DPM) control, gas
management, heat management, occupational exposure limit (OEL) compliance, primary ventilation fan
systems, ventilation on demand strategies, series ventilation, entrapment considerations, and the
integration of battery electric vehicles. The session agenda will be developed around
pre‑determined topics nominated by participating operators prior to the Consortium, ensuring that
discussions remain highly relevant, focused, and of practical value. This Consortium represents a
unique opportunity for industry practitioners to advance ventilation practice through shared
experience, technical insight, and collaborative problem‑solving.
Participation in the Consortium is free of charge and limited to a maximum of 25 attendees.
